Progression
Tango is a journey of transforming yourself into a more gracious person.

Here is how you can learn to dance the tango like a pro:
Step 1: Take a Sampler Class. These 1-hour sessions are usually held before the start of milongas. This is where you go to get your feet wet.
Step 2: Go to a tango milonga to observe how other people dance.

Step 3: Take a level 1 Introduction Course to master the basic walk, ochos and simple turns.
Step 4: Check out music and videos of tango movies, orchestras, and shows to see how diverse the tango can be.

Step 5: Attend level 2 and higher Courses (3-6 months) to learn more turns, figures, techniques, and embellishments.
Step 6: Practice twice a week at Practicas -- tango is like gymnastics, you must condition your muscles.

Step 7: Attend Workshops given by visiting teachers to polish your techniques and acquire new ideas.
Step 8: Participate in dance demos and performances in Arts Festival to gain confidence.

Step 9: Plan your travel with tango in mind. There are dozens of festivals every year in many cities around the world. With your tango skill, you can dance with strangers in any city.
Step 10: Go to Buenos Aires, the Mecca of Tango!
