Peter and Lisa in Singapore 16-20/Jan/2010

One weekend only!! The first visiting instructor for 2010 is Peter Waller and Lisa de Lazzari from Sydney, Australia, where they run a tango school called Club de Tango.

"The first time I ever heard and danced Tango, I had a feeling that I had known this forever. I felt such a connection with the music through my heart and my head that I knew I would never want to stop dancing tango." -- Lisa de Lazzari

Peter and Lisa has for the past 11 years been a contributing force to the growth of Tango in Australia. Besides teaching, holding workshops, and running a popular milonga, they performed regularly in festivals and events. They appeared twice at the Sydney Opera House in the concerts of the famous Argentinian musician Daniel Binelli. They are widely respected in Australia as teachers who focus on true essence of tango in their style, precision and connection. In Buenos Aires, where they visit regularly since 1999, they studied with maestros like Gustavo Naveira, Sebastian Arce, Julio Balmaceda and Chicho, and they move freely between milonguero and nuevo styles.

As organisers, Peter founded the Sydney International Tango Festival, and Lisa is a popular DJ. They have also been appointed by the governing board in Argentina to represent the Buenos Aires World Tango Championship in Australia.

They arrive on Friday 15/jan and leaves on Wed 20/jan.
